How To Educate Yourself On Race In America

We need change and we need it now. Black people in this country are dying at an alarming rate at the hands of an organization tasked to protect and serve us all. Watching the public execution of George Floyd in Minneapolis was heartbreaking and deeply saddening. The resulting protest and civil unrest in 100% warranted. Shaun T has spoken out recently on his experiences being a Black Man in American and his voice joins the millions of others calling for change not just with police, but with policy, with government, with our nation as a whole. The black community is suffering at the hands of people we have in power and enough is enough.

It is no longer enough to “not be racist”, it is time for friends and allies of people in the black community to stand up to racism and oppression in this country and become ACTIVELY ANTI RACIST

Team Shaun T stands with the Black Lives Matter movement and supports the uplifting, protection, and service of the black community. In a step to help non-black allies educate themselves and join in on the fight for the lives and rights of the people in our Black Community, we wanted to share some resources that will help you better understand the racial divide, systems of oppression and just some of the many pivotal stories in black history that have been calling for this change over the last 400 years. Please take the time to read, listen, and learn all you can and then join in the conversation and the fight to protect Black Lives.

No one is free until we are all free.
